Privacy policy
Last updated · A-Widget
A-Widget is an independent publication at a-widget.com. Contact hello@a-widget.com with privacy questions or a request about information you sent by email. This policy describes the current publication and its browser-local HTML form builder.
Data collected by this site
Reading a page does not require an account. The site has no newsletter signup, lead form, advertising placement or customer support chat. It does not collect form responses through the HTML form builder's preview.
Your browser requests pages, images, fonts and scripts from the site. Fonts are served locally. Ordinary web delivery exposes request information, such as network address and browser headers, to the hosting infrastructure. This policy does not claim a specific retention period for hosting records that has not been established.
If you email the publication, the message includes your address, content and attachments. We use that information to address the message or correction. Avoid sending sensitive personal information, account passwords, payment details or other people's records.
Browser storage and the form builder
The HTML form builder keeps the current field definition in page memory while you work. Choosing “Save definition on this browser” stores the form title, field definitions and optional submission endpoint in local storage under a-widget-form-definition-v1.
The preview does not submit to that endpoint. It does not save response values entered into the preview. Copying or downloading HTML creates an output you control; it does not send your definition or answers to A-Widget.
Use “Clear saved data” to remove the saved definition. The current unsaved work remains open until you reset or leave the page. Resetting clears the saved definition and restores the example. You can also remove this site's local data through your browser settings.
Do not put secrets in a submission endpoint. A saved URL is part of the definition and an exported form's source. Anyone who can use the same browser profile may be able to access locally saved information.
Consent and measurement scripts
This site does not currently use Google Analytics or make consent-geolocation requests. If measurement services are introduced, we will explain their storage and consent choices here.
The site also loads its first-party clicks.js script. It can retain campaign labels from URL parameters in session storage as click-utm. It listens for links marked as sponsored and, when one is clicked, sends the offer identifier, page path and campaign labels to the site's /api/click route. The Worker logs those values with a timestamp and the request's country code, when available. The WordPress widget setup guide has one sponsored Elementor link. This event does not contain the contents of a form or chat conversation.
The search interface uses site-hosted search files to find publication pages. The current pages do not load the chat, booking, form or social-feed services discussed in the articles. Documentation links lead to external websites only when you follow them.
External links and services
External sites have their own privacy terms. Following a source link or using a third-party service is a separate interaction with that site. An article's description of a provider does not mean that provider's script is embedded here.
The Elementor referral link on the WordPress setup guide goes through CJ’s native tracking address before reaching Elementor. Following it sends the normal request information to those services and may allow them to use cookies or similar identifiers for referral attribution under their own policies. The link is not requested automatically when you read the guide. No CJ tracking-pixel image is embedded here.
Your choices
A-Widget does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not run advertising or retargeting scripts. The Elementor link is used for referral attribution, rather than an advertising audience.
You can read the guide without following its referral link and can navigate to Elementor independently. Your browser’s cookie and tracking controls govern third-party storage; we do not offer a control that changes another service’s records. To clear our browser-local form definition, use Clear saved data in the builder or your browser’s site-data settings. For information sent by email, contact hello@a-widget.com.
Retention and your requests
Saved definitions remain in your browser until you clear them, reset the builder or remove site data. Session storage follows your browser's tab and session behavior. Downloaded files remain wherever you save them and are under your control.
For an email-related request, identify the message or address sufficiently for us to locate it. We may need to confirm that you control the relevant address before discussing the message. We do not promise deletion from systems or records outside our control.
Changes to this policy
The update date appears above. We update this policy when the site's scripts, storage, contact handling or commercial links change. Use the contact route to report a mismatch between this policy and observed behavior.
